Chula Vista Parks

The City of Chula Vista operates over 50 Community and Neighborhood Parks, of which 25 allow inflatable jump and bounce houses.  Chula Vista has strict rules on the type of jumps they allow in that they cannot be bigger than 15' x 16', they must be all enclosed, and they cannot have a slide.  The jumps require a generator, but they do not permit any other machines to be plugged into the generator except the blower for the jump (e.g. no popcorn, cotton candy, or snow cone machines).

If you wish to make a park reservation, you can go to their On-Line Reservation Site, or go in-person to the City of Chula Vista Public Works Center at 1800 Maxwell Road. The office is open from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday-Friday. Or, call (619) 397-6197 to speak to someone at the Parks Reservation Desk.  All reservations are granted on a first-come, first-serve basis, but they must be made at least 2 days prior to your event.

Reservations: The reservation fee is $30 for Residents of Chula Vista and $60 for Non-Residents.  Other security deposits will be required, but will be refundable if there is no damage or excessive cleaning required. The reservation allows one to reserve a gazebo or an uncovered picnic area.  On the morning of your event, park rangers will post a reserved notice on the park facilities that have been reserved in advance. All other park facilities that are not reserved on the day of use are open to the public on a first come, first served basis at no charge.

A few of the larger parks that are located in Chula Vista are actually operated by the Unified San Diego Port District (e.g. Marina View Park, Bayside Park and Pier, and Chula Vista Bayfront Park)  See the section for the Port District below for more details.  Shown below are the  Chula Vista Community and Neighborhood parks that allow jump houses.
