Coronado Parks

City of Coronado Parks & Recreation Areas:

Although the City of Coronado manages numerous park, only the 5 parks listed below allow private parties and company picnics with inflatable jump house and bounce house rentals.  Additionally, Tidelands Park, which is located under the Coronado Bridge, is available for parties, but it is managed by the San Diego Port District.

If you are planning to have 20 or more people, or a bounce house rental, then you will need to apply for an event permit. The permit is issued on a first-come, first-serve basis and only 1 permit is issued per venue per day.

Permit Application:  Reservations are not taken more than three months in advance and can be obtained by calling the Recreation Administration office at (619) 522-7342.

Permit Fees:  there are various fees/deposits involved with hosting a party at a Coronado Park. In general there is a $100 Park Use Fee, a $110 cost of purchasing a special liability insurance policy, and a refundable $100 cleaning deposit and $200 damage deposit.

Vendors:  Any company supplying equipment or services at your event needs to be listed as an approved vendor by listing the City of Coronado as additionally insured on their $1 million insurance policy. San Diego Kids' Party Rentals is already listed as an approved vendor for the City of Coronado Parks.
