La Mesa Parks

 
There are numerous parks in the City of La Mesa Parks, however, none of them provide electricity or water source.  All of the parks are smoke and alcohol free.  In order to have an inflatable jump or bounce house rental at the following parks that allow it, a permit is required.  The permit is $40 and does not have any size limitations as to what size inflatable jumper rental you can rent.  There are no permits required for 10x10 or 12x12 canopies, any canopy over those sized please call to see if a permit is required.  San Diego Kids Party Rentals is listed as an "approved vendor" for the City of La Mesa Parks and Recreation and they should have our insurance information on file.

Aztec Park

Located at 7945 Morocco Drive, La Mesa, CA 91942, this park features 3.96 acres with picnic tables, barbeques, open grass play area and restrooms.  Street parking only.

Briercrest Park

Located at 9001 Wakarusa Street, La Mesa, CA 91941. This park features beautiful gardens and walkways, tables, benches, tot play area, and street parking. Inflatable jumps are NOT allowed at this park.

 Collier Park

 Located at 4401 Palm Avenue, 91941; this 7.7 acre park features lighted tennis courts, large play and picnic areas with picnic tables and barbecues. Parking for 25 cars.

Harry Griffen Park
Located at 9550 Milden Street, 91941 near Grossmont High School. This regional park is one of the largest parks in La Mesa, featuring 53 acres of jogging paths, play areas, and shaded picnic areas.  The park also features a 360-seat amphitheatre for larger celebrations and parking for 180 cars. Inflatable jumps are allowed at the park, just not at the far end by the dog park.  For additional information call (619) 667-1307, Ext. 53

Highwood Park

Located at 775 Junior High Dr. , 91941 and adjacent to La Mesa Middle School; this 8.0 acre park features tot lots, shaded picnic area with tables, benches, barbecues and restrooms.  Parking for 42 cars. An amphither and tennis courts can also be available through La Mesa Middle School.

Jackson Park

Located at 5870 Jackson Drive, 91942. This park features tot lots, grass play areas and shaded picnic areas with tables and barbecues, benches and restrooms.  Parking for 21 cars

La Mesita Park & Jr. Seau Sports Complex

Located at 8855 Dallas Street / 9009 Park Plaza Drive, 91942. This park and sports complex features

full-sized lighted ball fields and football/soccer fields, which are available by permit only. Please contact the Facilities Divisionat 619.667.1307 to obtain permits.  It also offers 4 lighted tennis courts, tot lots, picnic areas, outdoor concrete basketball courts, large contrete pad (walking or roller stating), a skate park, and restrooms. MacArther Park
Located at the corner of University Avenue and Memorial Drive, 4975 Memorial Drive, 91941. This larger park feature a wide range of offerings, such as the community center, recreation center, pool, picnic areas with tables, and barbecues. The Sun Valley Golf Course is also included as part of this park. Parking for 290 cars. To rent the Community Center for an event, call (619) 667-1307.

Northmont Park
Located at 6030 Severin Drive and the corner of Amaya Drive in the 91942 zip code area. This 5-acre park featues tot lots, walking and jogging paths, volleyball courts, benches, turfed play and picnic areas with table, barbecues and restrooms. Parking for 10 cars.

Porter Park
Located at 8425 University Avenue, 91941. This park offers gazebos, picnic areas with tables, benches and restrooms.  Parking for 21 cars (4 disabled spaces)

Rolando Park

Alamo Way and Vigo Drive, 6600 Vigo Drive

Rolando Park is 3.56 acres that offers two baseball fields with concession stands, tot lots, picnic areas with tables, benches, barbecues and restrooms.  Parking for 40 cars.

Sunshine Park
 4554 70th Street at the corner of Tower Street, 91941. This sunny park has 2.31 acres of turfed mulit-purpose sports fields, picnic areas with barbecues and restrooms. Street parking only.

Sunset Park

Located at 5540 Lake Park Way, La Mesa, CA 91942, This park offers multipurpose sports fields, basketaball courts, off-street jogging, tot lots, picnic tables, with benches, barbecues and restrooms. Parking for 50 cars.

Vista La Mesa Park

Located at the intersection of King Street and Hoffman Street. This park features Little League Fields, Tot Lots, Lawn Area, Horseshoe Pits, and restrooms.  Parking for 25 cars.
